The association provides public services such as industry self-discipline, people's mediation, and intellectual property appraisal for the public, and has built an industry credit information publicity platform.

The association and the full-time responsible personnel have long participated in the formulation of national and Beijing intellectual property policies and industry standards. We have led drafting the important documents such as Beijing Action Plan for Promoting the Development of Intellectual Property Service Industry (2018-2020)；have compiled and published some special works such as A Practical Guide to the Patent Attorney Process，Foreign Patent Practice (United States);have worked as a main writer on Investigation on Beijing Intellectual Property Service Trade Situation and Policy Suggestion Research, which has awarded by the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal   Government   ; have led designing Operation plan of the first intellectual property fund in Beijing, which has facilitated the establishment of the intellectual property operation fund for key industries in our city. The association cultivate and evaluate Beijing intellectual property brand service agencies, select intellectual property service talents, and provide reference for market players to choose high-quality services. In 2019, the Association funded the construction and operation of the "Beijing (Zhongguancun) International Intellectual Property Service Hall"，which has gathered high-quality intellectual property service resources at home and abroad, and opened up the "last mile" of innovative entities looking for professional services. At present, the hall has established good contacts with the intellectual property authorities, embassies or industry associations in more than 30 countries (regions), and more than 70 domestic and foreign intellectual property service institutions have settled in the hall to provide services, receiving more than 4,100 innovative entities every year. It is also promoting the use of new technologies such as blockchain to apply to the confirmation and protection of intellectual property rights, building a professional talent training and vocational ability evaluation system in the field of industry segmentation, and fully supporting the construction of an international science and technology innovation center.
