The 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services (hereinafter referred to as the "Service Trade Fair") was successfully held at the National Convention Center on the afternoon of September 4th. The theme of the 2022 CIFTIS is "Service Cooperation Promotes Development and Green Innovation Welcomes the Future". General Secretary Xi Jinping once published an important exposition that "protecting intellectual property rights is protecting innovation". The conference will focus on the theme of "service and innovation", and it also reflects the great importance and support of governments at all levels and the whole society for intellectual property work. The forum fully gathers high-quality international intellectual property service resources, and promotes the capital's intellectual property service industry to develop towards a direction of  a higher-level, more famous brand, more internationalized, and more clusterized.

    The forum was co-hosted by Capital Intellectual Property Services Association(CIPSA) and China Council for the Promotion of International Investment, and co-organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Patent and Trademark Law Office Co., Ltd. and Beijing Sanyou Intellectual Property Agency Co., Ltd. Mr. Long Yongtu, the Chief Negotiator for China's Accession to the WTO and Former Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, attended the meeting in the form of video and delivered a speech. Peng Wen, Deputy Director of the Utilization Promotion Department of the State Intellectual Property Office, Li Zhong, Deputy Director and First-level Inspector of the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office, Miao Zengwei, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Zhou Xiaoyan, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Investment, attended the forum and delivered speeches at the forum . Representatives from embassies, consulates, and business associations in China from more than ten countries and regions including Singapore, Hungary, Poland, Australia, Finland, and the European Union participated in the forum and subsequent exchange activities. More than 300 representatives from relevant government departments, domestic and foreign innovation entities, and intellectual property service agencies participated in the forum online or offline.

    In his speech, Long Yongtu, the Chief Negotiator of China's Accession to the WTO and Former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, recalled that as the chief negotiator of China's accession to the WTO more than 20 years ago, he had experienced many negotiations on intellectual property rights, and proposed the construction of intellectual property rights. Sexual opinions: First, we must strictly fulfill our WTO commitments, abide by the international rules of intellectual property rights, and provide a good business environment for trade and investment facilities; second, strengthen international cooperation in intellectual property rights, and strengthen cooperation with the United Nations, the World Intellectual Property Organizations and other international frameworks and cooperation in multilateral mechanisms, making use of cooperation platforms such as the "Belt and Road Initiative"; communications among China, the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea these five countries; and BRICS to carry out intellectual property cooperation; the third is to strengthen my country's own intellectual property protection work.

    The Capital Intellectual Property Services Industry Association signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Finnish Chamber of Commerce and the Technology Transfer and Industrial Development Branch of the China Agricultural International Cooperation Association at the forum. The relevant leaders launched the opening ceremony for Science and Technology Innovation Service Workstation (Finland) settled in Beijing (ZGC) International Intellectual Property Service Hall.

   The "Sino-Finnish Science and Technology Innovation Service Workstation" was jointly established by the Capital Intellectual Property Services Industry Association and the Finnish Chamber of Commerce. The aim of the Workstation is to promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation in science and technology innovation, provide help for the implementation of Finnish innovation achievements in China, jointly conduct industry training and provide intellectual property services for enterprises of the two countries.

    In the professional speech session of the forum, Miao Zengwei, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, illustrated the preferential policies of Beijing's "two districts" with the title "Share the new opportunities of opening up in the two districts and work together to create a new future"; representatives from China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Patent and Trademark Law Firm Co., Ltd., Sanyou Intellectual Property Agency Co., Ltd., SenseTime Group, MSP Law Firm( China), King & Wood Mallesons, and Beijing Dacheng Law Firm respectively discussed the following topics : Unified Patent Court in the process of EU integration, the latest changes in property rights and their enlightenment to Chinese companies, corporate intellectual property rights management and international layout, intellectual property rights in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the frontiers and trends of secret litigation in China Business Network, and new trends in the development of intellectual property litigation in China.     The Capital Intellectual Property Services Industry Association has been committed to promoting international exchanges and cooperation in the intellectual property service industry and building a platform for non-governmental international exchanges in the industry. In 2019, the Beijing (Zhongguancun) International Intellectual Property Service Hall (International Hall for short), built and operated by the Association, officially opened to the public. Since its establishment three years ago, the International Hall has strictly selected high-quality institutions with international intellectual property service capabilities and sent professionals to take turns to answer questions about intellectual property rights from innovation subjects and provide management suggestions and policy guidance for "double innovation" enterprises.
