On 18th December, the webinar on Korean intellectual property was successfully held online as part of the "IP Plus" series of international intellectual property professional exchange activities. The event was hosted by the Capital Intellectual Property Service Association and the Beijing (Zhongguancun) International Intellectual Property Service Hall, and organised by the Korea Kim & Chang Law Firm and Beijing Kangxin Intellectual Property Agency Co. The IPR webinar was attended by people from member institutions, IPR service organisations, enterprises in Zhongguancun Park, research institutes and the public.

In this IP webinar, Korean discerning attorneys (patent attorneys) Seonyeong Park and In-kyu Jeong of Kim & Chang, and Chinese attorney/ Chinese patent attorney Qi-Qiao Zhang, provided an in-depth explanation of the latest trends in patent and trademark layout and protection strategies in Korea, in terms of the latest direction of the Korean trade mark system, the process of intellectual property litigation and the filing of invention patent applications, and in the light of their own experiences. In addition, he also discussed with the participants the current hot topics, such as the process of invalidity defence and the strictness of unitary examination. During the Q&A period, the speakers provided patient and detailed answers to a number of questions raised by the participants. The participants spoke highly of this event and hoped that there would be more related activities for enterprises to better understand the markets of different countries.
