On April 13, 2021, the ASEAN Intellectual Property Protection Seminar was successfully held in the International Lecture Hall of the International Intellectual Property Service Hall in Beijing (Zhongguancun). The seminar was co-hosted by the Capital Intellectual Property Service Industry Association and the China-Singapore International Intellectual Property Innovation Service Center. The capital economic circle, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Singapore interacted with each other. There were hundreds of business representatives and intellectual property practitioners. Intellectual property elites participated.

At this seminar, Director Cao Xinghai of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore introduced the intellectual property environment in the ASEAN region and how domestic enterprises can use Singapore's intellectual property policies to help internationalization.  Li Yingqi from Beijing King & Wood Mallesons introduced the protection strategy of corporate trade secrets and the trade secrets of ASEAN countries. After the speeches, the guests raised relevant questions and conducted in-depth discussions with the audience around the theme of the seminar.

ASEAN is an important cooperative partner of China, especially after the signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, the relationship between ASEAN and China will become closer and closer. This seminar will help domestic enterprises understand the intellectual property environment in the ASEAN region, so as to better carry out economic and trade cooperation.
