The 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services (hereinafter referred to as the Service Trade Fair) Foreign-related Intellectual Property High-level Service Forum (hereinafter referred to as the Forum) was successfully held on the morning of September 7 in the National Convention Center. The forum focuses on "sharing new achievements in services and jointly promoting the development of the intellectual property industry", fully gathers high-quality international intellectual property service resources, and promotes the capital's intellectual property service industry to develop towards a more high-level, branded, internationalized, and clustered direction .

The forum was hosted by the Capital Intellectual Property Service Industry Association (Association for short), and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Patent and Trademark Office Co., Ltd. provided support for the forum. Gan Shaoning, Deputy Director of the State Intellectual Property Office, Wang Hongcun, First-level Inspector of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Li Zhong, Deputy Director and First-level Inspector of the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office, and Zhao Tang, President of the Greater China Region of the China-Britain Business Council, attended the forum and delivered speeches. Representatives from embassies, consulates, and business associations in China from more than ten countries and regions including Kazakhstan, Japan, Ethiopia, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, the European Union, and Finland participated in the forum and subsequent exchange activities. More than 300 representatives from relevant government departments, domestic and foreign innovation entities, and intellectual property service agencies participated in the forum online or offline.

Gan Shaoning, Deputy Director of the State Intellectual Property Office, pointed out in his speech that intellectual property rights are connected to innovation and the market at one end, which is in line with the economic development trend, promotes economic transformation and upgrading, and provides strong guarantee and support for high-quality economic development. The "Beijing Intellectual Property Development Plan during the 14th Five-Year Plan" emphasizes the need to strengthen cooperation with the China Office of the World Intellectual Property Organization, vigorously promote the construction of the Technology and Innovation Support Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization, and promote international exchanges and cooperation on intellectual property at a high level ; It is necessary to introduce professional and international intellectual property service agencies, build a bridge for intellectual property cooperation, and promote the development of intellectual property rights in international cooperation industrial parks.

Experts from Sichengye Intellectual Property Agency Co., Ltd. separately discussed how intellectual property service agencies can protect overseas intellectual property rights of enterprises, the impact of new regulations on business secrets of enterprises, intellectual property risks and rights protection strategies in Southeast Asian countries, and designs under the new patent law. Speeches were  delivered on topics such as application strategy exploration, which received unanimous praise from the representatives present.

In 2019, the Beijing (Zhongguancun) International Intellectual Property Service Hall (International Hall for short) built and operated by the Association officially opened to the public. In the past two years, despite the impact of the new crown epidemic, the International Hall has established contacts with international organizations, intellectual property government departments, embassies and consulates in China, industry associations and other relevant units in dozens of countries and regions. A number of intellectual property service agencies have settled in the International Hall to provide public welfare international intellectual property service consulting services.
