On 26th April, on the occasion of the World Intellectual Property Day, the China-French Intellectual Property Seminar of the "IP Plus" International Intellectual Property Professional Exchange Series was held in Beijing (Zhongguancun) International Intellectual Property Service Hall.

The seminar was jointly organised by the French Industrial Property Lawyers Association, the Capital Intellectual Property Service Association and the Beijing (Zhongguancun) International Intellectual Property Service Hall. Nearly 100 people from member institutes, domestic and foreign innovation subjects, intellectual property service institutions, enterprises in Zhongguancun Park, scientific research institutes, and members of the public participated in the seminar and the subsequent exchange activities. The seminar was chaired by my secretary-general Wang Jing.

 This year's China-French IPR seminar invited Dr Biehl Biehl, Co-Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the French Association of Industrial Property Lawyers (AIPPI), to give an in-depth exposition on the topic of "IPR Protection in France and the European Union", which revealed, through the legal perspective, the importance of IPR protection in France and the European Union, as well as how to formulate and implement effective strategies of diversified IPR protection. The importance of IP protection in France and the EU from a legal perspective and how to develop and implement an effective and diversified IP protection strategy.

Jeremy Parachy, Co-Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the French Industrial Property Lawyers Association, shared his insights on the "European Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court System", analysed the challenges faced by Chinese companies in the French and European IP environment under the new system, and put forward concrete strategies to combat them. The seminar aims to gather high-quality international intellectual property experts and experts from all over the world.

 The seminar aims to fully gather high-quality international IP service resources and promote the development of the capital's IP service industry in the direction of higher-end, branding, internationalisation and clustering. Based on this goal, I and the Beijing (Zhongguancun) International Intellectual Property Service Hall will organise IP-related activities in various forms. By establishing a platform for international communication among IP folk, we will continue to promote international exchanges and co-operation in the industry, and work together to tell the success story of China's IP and showcase its progress globally.
